One road is filled with pain.
The other is smile and sunshine.
One in the pouring rain.
One takes you ever forward.
One goes back to where you came.
It doesn’t matter which one you walk.
In the end, it is all the same.
I’ve walked the road that leads to nowhere.
I’ve walked among the dead.
If you try the easy path
You will walk with me and hang your head.
If your burning eyes, under blackened skies
Should see the path I’ve tread.
You’d touch on your mortality
And die a wiser man instead.
